The purpose of the Symposium is to bring together scientists and engineers actively engaged in the research, development, and manufacturing for Flexible Organic Electronics.

The 1st International Symposium on Flexible Organic Electronics (IS-FOE), will take place in the Pallini Hotel in Halkidiki, Greece, on July 9-11, 2008. The purpose of the Symposium is to bring together scientists and engineers actively engaged in the research, development, and manufacturing for Flexible Organic Electronics including organic/inorganic materials, flexible substrates, manufacturing processes, circuit designs, flexible devices, system integrations and product applications, and to discuss current progresses in this emerging field.

"Strategy of Europe in Organic Electronics"

Europe is playing an important role in the world-wide competition for the field of flexible organic electronics, which is the next major industrial growth.
In this Welcome Opening Event, officials from European Commission (EC) wil present the next steps of the Strategy of EC in Organic Electronics.
Also, selected presentations will follow from Co-ordinators of leading FP6 and FP7 R&D EU and German Projects in the field that will show details about their breakthroughs, future activities and prospects.
