Travelling to the IS-FOE

 


IS-FOE BUS SERVICEa

Concerning your travel to the Pallini Beach Hotel for the IS-FOE, due to the major arrivals in Wednesday 9 July 2008, the IS-FOE Organizing Committee has arranged and reserved a bus to move the IS-FOE delegates that will arrive at Wednesday at Thessaloniki, from the Airport to the Pallini Beach Hotel.

Departure time: The Bus will depart at Wednesday 9 July at 16:30 afternoon from the Thessaloniki International Airport "Macedonia" to the Pallini Beach Hotel.

A member of the IS-FOE Organizing Committee will be at the Airport at that time to assist you.


HOW TO REACH HALKIDIKI

Halkidiki is situated approximately at a 45-60 minute drive from Macedonia International Airport* of the City of Thessaloniki**.

Transportation can be arranged either by taxi (approximately 60-80 euros one way) or coach public buses.

Today, the cost for car rental in Macedonia International Airport varies from 50 to 70 euros (group A and B cars with A/C) for one day and for 3 days and from 30 to 45 euros (Hertz,Avis).

*Macedonia International Airport is connected with most European capitals and several other European cities by direct flights.
** Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece and it is approximately 90 minutes drive from the IS-FOE Venue

 

HOW TO REACH IS-FOE

IS-FOE will take place in the Pallini Hotel, which is located in Kalithea.

Reaching Kallithea by BUS

The bus station (KTEL Station) to Halkidiki, is located in the highway Thessaloniki-Moudanion.
The timetables are:
From Thessaloniki to Kallithea:
05:45 (not in Sunday), 06:45, 08:00, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:15, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 20:00
To Thessaloniki from Kallithea:
05:35 (not in Sunday), 07:05, 08:50, 10:05, 11:45 (express line), 14:05, 15:10, 16:40, 17:40, 18:40, 19:40, 20:00

In order to reach the KTEL Station, you have to take the bus No. 36 which leaves from the passenger station "IKEA" that is 5 Km from the Macedonia Airport and 13 Km from Thessaloniki. In order to reach IKEA station:
From Thessaloniki: From Egnatia street take the bus 2 or 8 and reach IKEA at the end of the line. From Metropoleos street, take the bus No. 3 and reach IKEA at the end of the line.
From Macedonia Airport: Take the bus No. 78 and get off at the IKEA station.
